Substitution

• You have to find a new tenant yourself and it has to be a full time student of the same educational institution as you.
• The new tenant will take over the contract for the remaining period of your contract. 
• The new tenant can’t extend the contract 
• The new tenant has to be from the same gender if you’re having a shared room 
• The new tenant takes over the room in the state as it is in now 
• DUWO will not provide a kitchen and bed package 
• The room will not be cleaned by the cleaning company 
• The key handling will be between the tenants. You have to arrange with each other how to hand over the keys 

The end date of your contract is always the 15th or the last day of the month. We will refund your rent as soon as the new tenant has signed the contract.

• The new tenant then takes over the tenancy agreement on the 1st or 16th of the month.
• We apply a 'notice period' of one month. (The same rules apply as for a normal lease termination: notice of termination must be given at least one month before the date on which notice was given.)
