Welcome meeting successfully planned

Your rental agreement is signed and your welcome meeting has been scheduled.

Good to know: On the date/time of the welcome meeting, you can simply wait in your room for the caretaker. He/she will come to you.

What exactly is this meeting about?

  • The caretaker will come by to welcome you and introduce him/herselve
  • The caretaker gives you general information about your room and the building
  •  After your welcome meeting you’ll know who your caretaker is and what you can contact them for.

Are preparations necessary?

  • If this is a completely new room for you, you’ll probably have questions to ask the caretaker. Write the questions down before you forget them.
  • Do you already see something that has to be repaired? Don’t wait until the warden’s scheduled visit. Submit a repair request immediately.

Good to know:
1. Your rental agreement has been signed digitally and you’ll find a copy in your mail.
Here’s a tip: you need your rental agreement to register with the municipality. You can also find your rental contract in your DUWO account and in the DUWO app under My documents. Here you can also find the floor plan of your room.

2. For more information about what you can and can’t do with your room, please refer to our check-list containing everything you should know about the key transfer, your room and the building itself.

The formalities are done, so you can now focus on the nicer things in life.
How you’re going to lay out your room, your studies, student life and, of course, learning to stand on your own two feet.

Good luck and we wish you a nice time in your new room!
