Common rooms

A comfortably furnished living room where you can lounge, play games, eat together and study with your housemates: that is what you can expect in our common rooms. Together with students, we are working hard to furnish and renovate various common rooms, so that residents can make new friendships in a fun and informal way. The spaces are thus taking on an increasingly important role in our student complexes, where they contribute to the 'community' feeling.

Sustainable and circular

The common rooms are furnished for and by our students. We make extensive use of second-hand furniture, which we purchase through the thrift store, Marktplaats or that comes from student rooms and our own DUWO offices.

The rooms are managed by student caretakers. DUWO actively thinks about the activities organized in the common rooms. For example, tea afternoons, film evenings and gaming tournaments are organised.

Practice what you preach

The concept of the common rooms has also been applied in DUWO's offices and reception areas. In this way, our employees experience the benefits of a communal space themselves and every visitor quickly feels at ease at DUWO.
