De Zeven Provinciën
DUWO purchased this former senior home complex from Woonzorg Netherlands to convert it into student housing. At the beginning of the academic year in 2019, the 88 (self-contained) dwellings of the first renovation phase were let. In August 2020 the second phase was completed. Here can internationals rent a room. In total, the complex has 140 student homes.
The units and rental prices
The units are let either semi-furnished or furnished for a maximum rental price between €509.92 and €633.93 (basic rent and service costs). Residents have a private shower and toilet and a shared kitchen.
The surroundings
The complex is located near the Leiden De Vink Station, from where the sprinter train takes you to Leiden Central Station (and the nearby university) in seven minutes.

The units are let via Leiden University, which uses a percentage of the units to house international students.
